VM Migration from Datto to HyperV host.
Summary
MSP has restored a failed Hyper-V VM on Datto Device for now. VM was running on Datto Backup and the MSP wanted us to migrate that VM from Datto to the New HyperV Host.
Our Solution
MSP Partners opt Datto for a backup and disaster recovery (BDR) service that ensures that data is protected in case of disaster. One of the HyperV VM was failing to Boot on the HyperV host, Hence the customer has decided to start that VM on the Datto. Now the customer wanted us to migrate that VM back on the another HyperV host. Our Senior MSP Heros used our experience and migrated the VM Successfully from Datto to Hyper V Host successfully.
Result
We were able to successfully migrate that VM from Datto to HyperV host without any issues/Impact or data loss. With our professional approach and attention to detai, we were able to migrate that VM from Datto to HyperV host. The customer was quite happy with the smooth transition. It has become a normal ticket for our Support queue for all such incidents now.

We performed export of Vm's initially and then confirmed all changes are replicated fine including networking. Everything looked good and migration was successful.

Windows 2019 RDS license server setup
Summary
The Customer has Windows server 2008 RDS servers and wanted to decommission them and add new Windows server 2019 RDS licensing server.
Our Solution
Since Microsoft has ended the support for Windows server 2008 Servers and our MSP partner customer were using Windows server 2008 for RDS environment, we needed to migrate it without any down time or issues. We needed to decommission old OS servers and add the new RDS server on the environment. We initially performed a license and RDS role migration from old to new Windows RDS server and then ensured that we decomissioned Windows 2008 servers from the environment.
Result
With the newer Windows RDS 2019 server, MSP customer experienced better functionality, improved security and scalability. All the users were accessing the sessions with no issues at all. This ensured the environment was successfully migrated to the latest and supported Microsoft version of Operating System.
